We would like to say a massive thank you to all of our guests who have taken the time to share their wonderful holiday experiences with us… it really makes us happy to hear from you.
We stayed at Pomegranate Cottage in June 2023. This is a fabulous old Turkish Cottage. The whole cottage is comfortable with aircon in the living area and fans in every room and on the patio.
The kitchen is very well equipped with good cooking utensils, saucepans, casserole dishes, serving dishes plates enough to cook a Christmas dinner and lay a good table. There is a good size fridge/freezer and washing machine.
The lounges are very comfortable with everything you could need. If you have Sky Go and a VPN you can connect your computer via Wi-Fi and also to the TV with a HDMI/scart for UK TV.
The beds were comfortable with more than enough bedding and towels for your needs, including beach towels.
The bathrooms were clean and modern with a good supply of hot water and pressure.
Outside the patio is furnished with sofas and rattan table and chairs and enjoys a lovely, shaded area that catches the breeze. There are another two outside areas under fruit trees and a Chardak for relaxing. There are also loungers in the garden.
The cottage is about 10 minutes walk from Dalyan Centre but near supermarkets for fresh bread etc. The neighbours are mainly Turkish and very friendly. Dale the next door neighbour, who speaks Turkish, was very helpful and organised our transfers. The cottage is in the maize of roads just off the main road but there is a map at the cottage and I used Google map directions on my phone.
This was a fabulous holiday in a very comfortable cottage in beautiful Dalyan. Not just a holiday rental more of a home from home, catering for your every need, where you can relax and chill.

After travelling to Dalyan many times Pomegranate Cottage really was a find. A real home from home in a perfect location with lovely neighbours. Really did not want to leave.

We discovered Dalyan and Pomegranate cottage in 2009 and had such an enjoyable and relaxed time there that we decided to return in 2010, and were really pleased that we had. We love the comfortable, homely cottage with its garden and perfect location in the quiet outskirts of the town. Neighbours Barbara and John are great, and the town centre, with good restaurants and bars etc., is only just a short 10 minute walk away. It really is a perfect place to stay and we are really looking forward to a further stay next year in September 2011.

Just arrived back from a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. Have been to Dalyan lots of times over the past years and this has got to be the best place I’ve stayed in, also neighbours Barbara and John are absolute gems, especially I was a woman staying alone, I felt perfectly safe both in the cottage and Dalyan, will certainly be going again.

We had a wonderful stay in Pomegranate cottage for 2 weeks in August 2010. Really enjoyed our time in Dalyan- great with two teenagers as there is plenty going on.
The people were really friendly there and the scenery is beautiful. Spent several days at the beach, we did several all day boats trips with Ali Ozalp which were great fun. The Bacardi Bay trip was the best for snorkelling- food was fantastic on all trips.
We went to the swimming pool at Central cafe- nice gardens and very quiet when we went- only 2 lira each.
The ruins at Caunos were well worth a visit and we saw some tortoises there as well.
The cottage was great for four of us- plenty of space and really comfortable. The cardak is really good for relaxing at the end of the day. Barbara & John were very helpful for places to go and John (gardener) had some good tips for trips.
Hope to return to Turkey next year.
Many thanks

I am a solo traveller and my holiday accommodation is without doubt as important as the location. I most definitely wasn’t disappointed with my choice of Pomegranate Cottage.
The cottage is lovely, spotless clean, comfortable & tasteful. It is well equipped, with all the little extras that make it a holiday home rather than a holiday let.
The garden wraps around the cottage & throughout the day there is always a sunny or shady spot. There are fruit trees in the garden, lovely for breakfast with some fresh bread.
The location is perfect, with a pleasant 10 minute stroll into town. During my stay there was a family of storks in a nest on top of a pole en -route to the supermarket. From the cottage I could see the adult birds circling round in the early evening.
The town is great, with plenty of trips on offer, a good choice of places to eat, excellent public transport, & there was an open air concert one evening in the town square while I was there.
I booked Pomegranate Cottage 15 months ahead of my travel date, I wanted 2 weeks to watch the World Cup in peace.
Hilary answered my initial enquiry promptly, the booking was easy & Hilary kindly arranged very satisfactory airport transfers for me.
Her neighbours Barbara & John are a lovely couple, on hand for advice, but never intrusive. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pomegranate Cottage, I want so much more than just a holiday base & the cottage certainly offers that.
Many thanks Hilary

We had a truly wonderful holiday in Pomegranate Cottage. I love the house and I especially love the garden. Dalyan is a magical place and I definitely intend to return there at some point.
Barbara & John were lovely, friendly neighbours and we enjoyed meeting and talking to them.
Many thanks for enabling us to discover Dalyan. My children said it was their “best holiday ever”!!!

We stayed at your cottage from 28th September-2nd November 2009
We have been to Dalyan 4 times but this was the best holiday ever.
The cottage is set in a rural village with cows, goats, chickens, and the smells of the countryside. The people in the village were very friendly to us.We were lucky to see a traditional wedding while we were there just across from the cottage
The cottage had grapes growing round the gates and there were pomagranate and orange trees in fruit in the garden.
We loved the relaxed feeling and for our first week we seemed to sleep a lot but then you realise just how tired you were before you came to Dalyan and then felt ourselves drifting into Dalyan time.
We were very comefortable and everything that we could possibly need and more besides had already been thought of by Hilary.
We had a wonderful time and hope to return to Dalyan again.

Just wanted to say what a brilliant time my friend and I had at Pomegranate Cottage. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the river, town centre and restaurants. The cottage was well equipped and like home from home and Barbara and John next door were really welcoming, helpful and friendly. I am really looking forward to going back.

I came back at the end of May, from a wonderful holiday in Pomegranate Cottage and I am still enjoying the vivid memories of magnificent scenery and friendly people. The cottage is so beautifully in keeping with a holiday in Turkey I just cannot wait to book my next holiday. The garden affords all types of out door lounging. The trees allow for shade but just a move to the right or left and the glorious sun shines down.
I was wise enough to purchase Bio Astin from Lifelong products and rejoiced in not one sign of prickly heat, which is a skin problem I had always suffered from if exposed to the sun.Thank you Hilary for a wonderful holiday and thank you Lifelong products for a rash free holiday.I will be back!!

I stayed at Pomegranate Cottage in 2006 and had a fantastic holiday.
Dalyan is a beautiful place to visit and there is a lot to do. Obviously there are the beach, river and lake but there is also the countryside to go exploring. Or just wander around the quiet streets near to the Cottage and you will see everyday Turkish life and be greeted by friendly waves and smiles.
From the cottage, it is only a short level walk into Dalyan town, where you will find shops bars and restaurants. There’s also the dolmus station where you can catch local minibuses to go further afield.
You will find everything you need in the cottage and if its relaxation you are after it is perfect. Relax in the shady garden or nip next door to Ali Baba to have a swim or a beer.
Oh and one more suggestion – get your bearings when you arrive by taking a microlite flight over Dalyan – amazing! And then have breakfast next door at Gulbasha’s, where you can have great fresh food and then lie on cushions next to the river and relax.
I will be back this year!!

From the friendly meeting at the airport to the smoothly organized departure, our week at Pomegranate cottage was all pleasure. The traditional Turkish house has been sensitively modernised to provide all comforts and conveniences within a traditional ambience, and everything we required was just as and where it should be, and of course you have the lovely pool and poolside bar at the Ali Baba just round the corner, where lovely Miriam will make you feel at home.
We liked the location too, in a quiet corner of the village amongst local people, and just a short stroll from the centre and the riverside, a most enjoyable stroll at that, meeting and greeting along the way friendly people and dogs and cats and once a tortoise!
Be sure to discover the little pancake place on the way, great for breakfast! The unassuming little family-run restaurant in the trees by the roundabout is not to be missed for an evening meal. Real Turkish food, simply superb, and wonderful hospitality.
As a base from which to explore the unique delights of Dalyan, Pomegranate Cottage would be hard to beat, our only regret was not having more time to enjoy it!
Thanks and All The Best,

My wife and I felt that we must write to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your Cottage, once in July and then again in Sept/Oct.
From the day we arrived, we felt at home there. It is a traditional cottage, with many of the original features, yet we found it to be very comfortable and extremely well equipped, you seemed to have thought of everything!! We would often sit on the balcony or in the Chardak in the garden, enjoying our morning cuppa and afternoon tea, taking in the ambience.
As my wife had been unwell, we appreciated being able to rest in the comfort of the cottage. It was also pleasant to be in a quiet area, yet if we wished to venture into the town for a meal or drink, it was only a short walk to the main town, with many restaurants and small bars nearby.
Dalyan is a delightful place – lovely walks by the river; little bars and restaurants line the river – there are many boat trips to take advantage of, from a short trip across the river to a longer all-day trip – the delightful square with the beautiful mosque, children’s play area, various stalls and an array of different bars, restaurants and shops. There is a beautiful beach with miles of sand – the beach is just a short 20 minute drive; it is worth going down to the beach just for the spectacular views of the lakes and mountains on the way.
There is so much to do and see in Dalyan without the hussle and bussle of some resorts. The people are exceptionally friendly, from the shop keepers to the bar and restaurant owners and their staff. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from, serving good food at very reasonable prices. Dalyan runs regular local buses and coach trips to the nearby towns and villages, which are well worth a visit.
We have been to Dalyan before and would definitely stay there again. We would also love to stay in Pomegranate Cottage again next time, if it is available; we liked being able to use the Pool at the nearby Hotel; they are extremely helpful and friendly there.
Dalyan is only about a twenty-five minute drive from the airport – another bonus – and so nice to have our trip to and from the Airport, organised for us.
Thank you again and we look forward to meeting you again next year.
With kind regards,
Joan & Len Pierce
